WHY TAKE THE MCAT?

Most medical schools require the MCAT. At most U.S. medical schools, your MCAT score is given as much weight as your GPA.

HOW IS THE MCAT SCORED?

You will receive a total score for the three multiple-choice sections. Each of these sections is graded on a scale of 1 to 15.

Grades ranging from a low of J to a high of T, are also awarded for the Writing Section.

MCAT - PHYSICAL SCIENCES SECTION
PHYSICAL SCIENCES SECTION OVERVIEW
  • 100 minute section
  • 77 questions

This section consist of a number of 200- to 300-word passages, followed by a series of questions, plus a number of stand-alone questions.

This section tests your basic math skills and your knowledge of physics and general chemistry.
